Moms or Grandmas, have you ever been with a little one who is suffering from eczema? The itching, scratching, and sometimes even bleeding on the skin is so very uncomfortable and painful. What is eczema? Eczema is a skin condition caused by inflammation of the skin. Typically, eczema causes skin to become itchy, red, and dry — even cracked and leathery. Eczema can appear on any part of the body. According to webmd.com eczema is most common in children and infants and the good news is that many will outgrow it by the time they reach adulthood.
What causes eczema? “Doctors don’t know exactly what causes eczema. The most common type of eczema — atopic dermatitis — resembles an allergy. But the skin irritation, which is more often seen in children rather than adults, is not an allergic reaction.” (according to webmd)
The current thinking is that eczema is caused by a combination of factors that include:
abnormal function of the immune system
activities that may cause skin to be more sensitive
defects in the skin barrier that allow moisture out and germs in
Your doctor will diagnose and then prescribe treatment which may include medications. However, many doctors do not know about natural treatments for eczema and yet, many moms are turning to more natural approaches. If you would like a simple program that has helped others please contact me. Katie O. shared great success on FB. Look how this little one’s skin improved when she was given what her body needed to heal from the inside out. Here’s another testimony from Sandy who switched laundry products: My daughter, J. has very mild eczema which may be worse if not for Shaklee which I’ve been using for years. Wouldn’t want to try anything else. Sandy
The key things to look at in your child’s environment both inside and out are: laundry products, probiotics, and omegas. Remember, not all probiotics work and actually get to the intestine. And another thing to remember–don’t just wash your little ones clothes in a safe product, wash everything with a safe product to be sure no dangerous residue attaches. Please contact me for more specifics; use the contact form above. You will notice some good changes!
I have the privilege of talking to many young Moms and I’m impressed. Seems like they take the difficult job of feeding their families very seriously. Moms are looking at ingredients, cooking healthier meals, trying to figure out what should and should not be in their children’s school lunches and giving them a healthy breakfast to start the day. Some are even making Non GMO choices. These Moms are a good example for March National Nutrition Month, with many of them supplementing to be sure their children are getting a guaranteed supply of nutrients on a daily basis.
Congratulations, Moms, older ones and young! Keep up the great work; keep trying to eat food as close to the way God created it as possible. Check out my Healthy Food Board on Pinterest for more healthy choices.
Most people wonder: what supplements to take, if I need them at all, what are synthetic supplements doing to my body, how to keep my children healthier through the winter, can I build up my immune system, which sports drinks are safe, is there a way to lose and then keep the weight off, which green cleaners work and are really toxic free, and how will I ever find safe skin care products that make me look younger or heal my damaged skin.
Many people also wonder: how will I pay for private school tuition or college for my kids, will I be able to take a vacation with my family, will I ever get out of debt, or have I saved enough for retirement.
Do you know people with these concerns? Are you one of them? There is one place where you can find the answers. You may do this in the privacy of your own home. If you want to fill in a short questionnaire about what you learn, I would be happy to reward you (6/$25) for your education. Just check out this site for answers to your questions and concerns.
It’s almost time; in less than a month children will be back in school. The summer is going by fast and the school supplies are popping up in stores. For Moms, and Dads too, the start of a new school year is a very busy and often stressful time. Children need new clothes, shoes, school supplies, and a new schedule. This new schedule might involve eating better, getting more sleep, spending more time reading books and less time on a computer. Another goal Moms and Dads might have for their children this new school year is staying healthy!
“Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain’s normal development of social and communication skills. Autism is a physical condition linked to abnormal biology and chemistry in the brain. The exact causes of these abnormalities remain unknown, but this is a very active area of research. There are probably a combination of factors that lead to autism.” A.D.A.M. Medical Encyclopedia. It includes a range of complex neurological development disorders, characterized by social impairments, communication difficulties, and behavior problems.
The treatments are behavioral interventions, counseling, medications (please weigh the possible benefits and side effects of meds), along with some new research that links diet and nutrition and getting as many chemicals out of the child’s environment as possible. Next week I’ll discuss getting the chemicals out!
Does nutrition help? And specifically Shaklee nutrition, which tablet for tablet has the same active ingredients and is proven to get to the blood stream? The story of one boy who was diagnosed with autism at age 3, now age 10, looks bright. Mom says , “He is now going into fourth grade. He has had a wonderful year in school and socially. He is adding, subtracting, and understands fractions! He can read, write, type, and loves computer games. Socially, he asks to play with the neighborhood kids, which is HUGE for him since he didn’t care if anyone was around. If you are planning to try Shaklee supplements, I would encourage you to do it.” There is one specific supplement that helped her son the most. Write below asking for more information on this or click on the talk balloon above–I’m happy to share.
If your children are missing school due to illness, or your little ones are getting ear infections way too often, what do you do? Thankfully the doctors are not handing out antibiotics as much and that’s a good thing. But how are you building your kid’s immune systems so they stay healthy and perform well?
My husband and I decided that we were not going to let them do surgery to put tubes in our son’s ears. I was so blessed to have many other family members who use Shaklee and I was willing to try them. We started Shaklee nutrition products, plus cleaning products, and results were quick. Now going on six months, our son has not been on one medicine and has only had one runny nose that lasted two days. Also, I have an eighteen-month-old daughter who had RSV. . . So far she is doing wonderful and my husband and I also use these products. The only regret that I have is not starting these products earlier to prevent having to go through all of these health issues.
Shaklee products are safe and pure, easy and delicious to swallow, with a money back guarantee. Find out if they work for your family. Need more information? Write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
